4. Omari Spellman

Spellman might be another year from entering the draft, but he has demonstrated what he brings to the table and his NBA potential grows clearer by the game. Spellman averages 15.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per 40 minutes and offers size, athleticism and shooting at either big position. On his best nights, Spellman is the sort of force capable of dominating a game on both ends of the floor, as he did in the Sweet 16 against West Virginia.

Perhaps the most surprising element of Spellman’s athleticism is how much weight he carries with him. At 6-foot-9, the freshman is listed at 260 pounds, and will likely have to shed a significant amount of that before he is ready to consistently contribute at the NBA level. Still, he is a powerful vertical athlete who attacks the rim with force. Lateral movement and ability to switch onto quicker players will be a question moving forward, and he is already 20 despite being in his first college season, a factor that could alter the way some teams view his upside.
