5 best NBA Draft prospects in the 2018 Final Four
By Ben Ladner
3. Devonte’ Graham
Kansas is stocked with an interesting mix of talent, but Graham is likely the only player with a real chance of hearing his name called on draft night. He isn’t as efficient as Jalen Brunson, but he should serve a similar function as a backup combo guard capable of contributing early in his career. Graham plays both ends of the floor and can operate with the ball in his hands or as a spot-up weapon. A career 40.8 percent 3-point shooter, Graham drained almost three triples per game this year on nearly seven attempts per game.
Whether he’ll be able to defend more than one position at the next level remains to be seen, but Graham is far from a liability on defense and can do enough of everything on offense to find rotation minutes, especially given the growing popularity of two-point guard lineups. His true shooting percentage and 2-point percentage both dipped under a heavier workload this season, his first without Frank Mason, but Graham will rarely be asked to power a high-level offense in the NBA to the extent that he was this year.
