2018 NFL Mock Draft: Sam Darnold goes to Browns
By Brad Weiss
The Cincinnati Bengals originally had the No. 12 overall pick in the first round, but they traded that away to the Buffalo Bills. In that deal, the Bengals not only grabbed the No. 21 pick, but also a left tackle in Cordy Glenn. He instantly makes them better up front on that side of the ball, and they should spent the No. 21 pick on a guy who can make an impact on the defensive line.
Harold Landry from Boston College who could make an impact not only at defensive end next season, but also at outside linebacker. Last year, Landry could have been a first round pick as well, though he decided to return to school for one more season. He has the talent to be a solid player at the next level in year one, and the Bengals certainly need help on defense.
The Bengals finished off the season on a high note, ruining the Baltimore Ravens’ chance at a place in the playoffs. That win likely saved Marvin Lewis’ job, as many figured he would be done after last season. This organization has still yet to win a playoff game under his command, and with how next year’s team is shaping up, that trend may continue in 2018.
