2018 NFL Mock Draft: Sam Darnold goes to Browns
By Brad Weiss
The Los Angeles Rams made a big impression on everybody last season, as they came out of nowhere to win the NFC East. Young head coach Sean McVay was named Coach of the Year, and first round quarterback Jared Goff made a huge leap forward in year two. This is a team on the rise, and they have been very busy this offseason, bringing in big-name free agents like Marcus Peters, and Ndamukong Suh to name a few.
As they head into the 2018 NFL Draft, the Rams need to fix some holes at the linebacker position. One player who could definitely help them on the inside is Rashaan Evans, who was a very productive player for Alabama last season. Named a team captain, Evans was the kind of player who could play sideline to sideline, and he is a very exciting prospect heading into the draft.
The Rams need help on the inside of their defense at linebacker, and Evans can come in and be a starter in year one. They have the talent on both sides of the ball to make a serious run next season, and their defense has to be better if they hope to play for an NFC title. The pieces are starting to come together for the Rams, who were once a doormat, but now go into 2018 as the favorite in a very tough NFC West.
