More from DraftKings

Our EuroLeague games this week are split evenly, but the talent is not. There are a ton of good guards going tomorrow, but we get Shved today!

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!

The cash line in the EuroLeague is usually right around 150 DraftKings points. That means we are looking for 3x value instead of the 5-6x we chase in the NBA.

Guards:

This is not one of the better matchups for Alexey Shved, but he still picked up 36.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Fenerbahce. Shved has not been under 30 DraftKings points since December. He is the most consistent guy in the EuroLeague, and is absolutely worth the price.

Thomas Huertel is a solid option, but I don’t see him as much of a pivot off of Shved. He is inconsistent, but the matchup with Efes is a very good one.

Brad Wanamaker had a big game against Khimki earlier in the season, but he has not hit 3x value in over a month. Norris Cole is in the same boat. He had a big game against Baskonia earlier in the season, but he hasn’t hit value since February 8th.

I don’t love the matchup, but DeAndre Kane has been huge lately. If you want to use a Tel Aviv guard, Kane is the one to look at.

Ricky Hickman may be my second favorite guard of the night, and he is technically in the value tier. The numbers that Hickman has put up lately are far more consistent than anyone in the middle tier. I feel the same about Curtis Jerrells. The higher priced Milan guards are struggling, but Jerrells has at least 4x value in each of the last five rounds.

Petteri Koponen has also played at a high level lately. In fact, you may be able to get away with a Shved fade if you use Koponen and Jerrells. Personally, I want to use all three of them. Koponen has at least 4x value in every round since January 26th.

If you need to go cheaper, Stefan Markovic is a solid value pick. Same with Marko Guduric. Guduric has 59.5 DraftKings points over the last two rounds. Nikos Zisis has replaced Daniel Hackett as the favorite backup for Bamberg. He is still not priced accordingly, so Zisis has strong value again.

WASHINGTON, DC – MARCH 03: Emeka Okafor #50 of the Washington Wizards puts up a shot between Spencer Hawes #00 and Dorell Wright #4 of the Philadelphia 76ers during the second half at Verizon Center on March 3, 2013 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)

Forwards:

Tornike Shengelia has not been great lately. He has not hit value since March 1st, so I am more open to fading him than usual. Dorell Wright is the pivot. After a rough month of January, Wright seems to be back on track, hitting value in four of the last six rounds. If you don’t trust either of them, Ante Tomic was on fire until a bout of the flu sidelined him last round.

Sonny Weems has taken over as the scoring threat for Efes. Even the mighty Olympiacos barely held him under value last round. This is another tough matchup with Barcelona, but it’s hard to count Weems out right now. Arturas Gudaitis has a much better matchup, and could be the safer play today.

Adam Hanga is finally back after missing nearly a month with a knee injury on March 1st. Hanga was playing well when he went down, but Barcelona has had some strong play without him. I would wait to see where he fits in now, but this matchup is tempting.

Vincent Poirier has at least 27 DraftKings points in four straight rounds. That makes him a huge value today. Vladimir Micov had an enormous game last round against Valenica. He has another favorable matchup tonight, and is still reasonably priced.

Johannes Voigtmann has at least 4x value in three of the last four rounds. He has a strong matchup against Tel Aviv tonight. Can he stay hot?If you aren’t a believer, Adrien Moerman is a strong pivot at just $100 less.

If you need to go really cheap, there aren’t a lot of great options today. Janis Timma has been rolling lately, and at $5,400, only needs 16.25 DraftKings points to hit value. Keep an eye out for Leon Ravosevic. Radosevic has four straight rounds of hitting value. He makes a decent value pick still.
