We will provide you with several options to build your lineup here. Want to spend all your money on pitchers and play bargain bats? We will highlight who is worth the money. Want to punt arms and pay up for the big boppers? We can help you with that as well, and everything in between!
These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. Stacking against a bad pitcher is always a good idea!

Next: DraftKings Pitcher Plays
Top Tier:
Clayton Kershaw ($11,500): The Giants are only hitting .199 against Kershaw. And this isn’t some small sample size. That’s in 488 at bats! The Giants only have six homers and 26 runs in that span with a whopping 121 strikeouts. Lock in Kershaw on any slate he is available on today. I would take him over Sale in the all day tourney.
Corey Kluber ($10,700): Kluber has held Seattle to a .209 average in 110 at bats with only three homers and six runs. The kicker here is the 28 strikeouts. That’s a better ratio than Kershaw has against the Giants. If you are fading Kershaw, Kluber isn’t much, if any, of a step down.
Middle Tier:
Patrick Corbin ($7,000): The Rockies are hitting .279 with eight homers and 20 RBI in 154 at bats. The 30 strikeouts are solid, but another thing to take note of is that most a lot of this damage was done at Coors Field. There is some sleeper value here with Corbin, but I prefer his opponent.
Jon Gray ($6,500): Gray has had some trouble against Arizona in his brief career. The Snakes are hitting .338 with a homer and six runs in 68 at bats. However, Gray has the last laugh with a whopping 19 strikeouts! Gray was actually better at Coors Field last year, but there is decent potential, especially because of the strikeouts tonight.
Bargain Pitchers:
Felix Hernandez ($6,100): If you’re looking for redemption with Felix, wait until his next start. Not only does he not have a great chance of getting the win over Kluber, but Cleveland is hitting .294 off of Felix in 109 at bats. They only have three homers, but the 16 runs and just 17 strikeouts paint a cautionary tale. There is significant risk here.
Ty Blach ($5,500): I’m not a proponent of using pitchers against each other normally, but on a small slate, an exception can be made. The Dodgers are only hitting .235 off of Blach in 102 at bats with only one homer and eight runs to go with 12 strikeouts. The bad news is that he draws Kershaw on Opening Day, so a win in unlikely. However, he has shown that he can record outs against the Dodgers. Blach is a great punt option.
Top Tier:
Edwin Encarnacion is only 6-28(.214) against King Felix, but he has two walks, a double, two homers, three runs scored, and seven RBI against him.
Middle Tier:
Nolan Arenado carries a heavy price tag, but he is just 6-34 against Patrick Corbin in his career with only one homer.
Arizona doesn’t have a lot of success against Jon Gray, but Jake Lamb may be worth a look. Lamb is a solid 4-13 with a walk, two doubles, three runs scored, and two RBI against Gray.
Bargain Shoppers:
Buster Posey is too cheap for an All Star, especially when you consider his career numbers against Kershaw. Posey is hitting a respectable 25-104(.240) with four walks, three doubles, three homers, five runs scored, and ten RBI off of Kershaw. The rest of the Giants are 72-384 with three homers and 22 RBI.
Top Tier:
Jason Kipnis is a solid 6-20 against King Felix, but only has one RBI and three runs to show for it. There are likely better options, but I’m not against a full blown Cleveland stack. I don’t want to use much of any Mariners or Giants, so the pickings are slimmer.
Middle Tier:
The Rockies middle infielders have torched Corbin. Trevor Story is 4-11 with four walks, a double, a homer, three runs scored, and a pair of RBI. LeMahieu is even better. D.J. is 14-37(.378) with three walks, three triples, three homers, eight runs scored, and six RBI off of Corbin. Why reach for anyone else when you have these stats right in front of you?
Not many have been able to get to Ty Blach, but Chris Taylor has. Taylor is 4-10 with a walk, a double, a homer, and a pair of RBI off of him. Corey Seager is a respectable 4-14, but the lack of major counting stats makes it hard for him to get enough for the cost.
Robinson Cano‘s price is depressed against Kluber, but Cano is still 4-14 with two walks, three doubles, a run scored, and a RBI off of him. This may not be a bad idea to take a cheap Cano tonight.
Bargain Shoppers:
If Chris Owings is in the lineup, I like him against Gray. Owings is 5-9 with a double, a homer, and three RBI in his career agianst Jon Gray.

Top Tier:
A.J. Pollock and David Peralta are a combined 9-20 with three doubles and a triple, but only one RBI. There are enough crooked numbers between the two of them to put up some pretty good totals tonight.
Charlie Blackmon hits lefties well for the most part, and Corbin is no exception. Blackmon is 9-29(.310) with a walk, two doubles, a triple, a homer, six runs scored, and three RBI off of Corbin. Carlos Gonzalez has a homer and five RBI, but he is only hitting .227 in 22 at bats.

Middle Tier:
Interestingly enough, Nelson Cruz and Ben Gamel have both taken Kershaw deep. Don’t expect them to do it in Seattle, thought the power of Cruz is significant enough to hit it out of anywhere.
Bargain Shoppers:
Andrew McCutchen is one of the few that has hit Kershaw well. Can he do it in a new uniform? McCutchen is 9-27 with two walks, two doubles, a homer, five runs scored, and four RBI in his career against Kershaw. If you are feeling really contrarian, use a Posey/McCutchen stack and use Kluber instead.
