High Salary PF

Blake Griffin, DET vs WAS ($8,500): After back-to-back 50-plus fantasy point games, Griffin has been under 25 fantasy points in his last two games. He’s played 26 minutes or less in those two games, which explains his lower production. He needs 37.9 fantasy points to reach value on Thursday. Assuming his minutes are back up to 30-plus (meaning he stays out of foul trouble or the game isn’t a blowout), he should be back over 40 fantasy points in this one. ****

Kelly Olynyk, MIA vs CHI ($7,800): Olynyk followed up his 41.3 fantasy point effort against the Pacers with 37.5 fantasy points against the Cavaliers. He’s been over value in all but one game since Mar. 3. His salary keeps climbing and he needs 34.8 fantasy points to reach value. The high salary is a bit of a concern, but there is no denying Olynyk’s play right now. He should be around value, but proceed with caution. ***

James Johnson, MIA vs CHI ($6,800): If you’re not quite sold on Olynyk, Johnson is available for $1,000 and can get you similar production. He had 46.3 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Thursday. He’s been over value in six of his last seven. He’s been inconsistent this season, but his play as of late is encouraging, the matchup is good, and he might be a better option than Olynyk at a more affordable price. ****
