Giants at Dodgers live stream: How to watch online
The San Francisco Giants start the 2018 season at the Los Angeles Dodgers. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game on TV and online.
It’s MLB Opening Day and it’s time to kick off the 2018 season with the San Francisco Giants facing off against National League West Division rival Los Angeles Dodgers.
2017 was rough for the San Francisco Giants, who ended up in the basement of the NL West behind the San Diego Padres after an abysmal 64-98 season. Most of the Giants’ woes came from injuries, including the devastating injury to ace pitcher Madison Bumgarner early in the season. Unfortunately, Bumgarner is out until at least the All-Star break after a line drive connected with his wrist during spring training. The Giants still ended the spring with a 14-16 record, but will they find their way back to the top of the NL West in 2018?
San Francisco has lefty Ty Blach (2017: 8-12, 4.78 ERA, 163.2 IP, 83 K) on the mound against the Dodgers. Blach played in five games this spring, going 1-1 with 15 strikeouts in 17.1 innings.
The Los Angeles Dodgers ended up losing to the Houston Astros in the 2017 World Series and they want another chance at the title. The Dodgers finished 16-15 in spring training after working out some changes to the lineup and rotation, as well as factoring in the loss of Justin Turner to a broken wrist. LHP Clayton Kershaw (2017: 18-4, 2.31 ERA, 202 K) has his eighth Opening Day start for the Dodgers after posting an ERA of 0.00 over 6 games in spring training (21.1 IP, 23 K).
