Chandler Hutchison. 28. player. 147. . G/F. Boise State

The ceiling and structure of Brooklyn’s offense is unknowable, considering how they have been able to make their way to 20th in offensive efficiency this season despite one of the youngest guard rotations in the league, mostly due to their shot selection and ability to share the ball.

The Nets rank second behind the Rockets in 3-point attempts per game and 3-point attempt rate this season, seventh in pace, tenth in assists and ninth in free-throw rate. They are top ten in the categories they focus on, and one would expect their 2-point efficiency to get better once their younger players become more effective around the rim and Jarrett Allen gets better.

It’s also difficult to tell what exactly Brooklyn’s roster looks like by the time it is contending for a championship. Is there a single can’t-lose player on this roster, or is coach Kenny Atkinson’s program turning into one that guarantees an effective offense regardless of personnel?

Allen, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, D’Angelo Russell and Caris LeVert certainly seem like foundational pieces moving forward, but that’s about it. They have no real wing talent unless they see LeVert there long-term, so Hutchison, who just scored 39 points in the first round of the NIT against Washington, makes a ton of sense to fill that role for Atkinson.
