4. More trouble for West Ham as they lose to Southampton

One of the biggest talking points in the last round of Premier League fixtures was West Ham’s loss at home to Burnley. This was because of the crowd disruptions which resulted in West Ham players tackling fans and one fan removing the corner flag only to plant it in the center circle.

It’s hard to see the Hammers’ form improving for their match this week with Southampton, and that’s likely to lead to more trouble. Security will undoubtedly be heightened, but if there are more protests at the London Stadium, the fans could be hard to manage.

David Moyes needs to get it right, not only for his own job but for the sake of the safety of the players. Southampton have had ups and downs this season, but their 2-0 FA Cup win at Wigan might have sparked something.

The Saints are currently in the relegation zone and desperately need points. This matchup seems quite even, but Southampton should take advantage of the disruptions that have occurred at West Ham of late.
