Our EuroLeague games this week are split evenly, but the talent is not. There are a ton of good guards going tonight. To top it off, Calathes is more expensive than Shved was yesterday!
The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!
The cash line in the EuroLeague is usually right around 150 DraftKings points. That means we are looking for 3x value instead of the 5-6x we chase in the NBA.

Guards:
Nick Calathes is a staggering $14,900. I know the matchup is a good one, but not this good. The drop in minutes for Luka Doncic has me nervous as well, so we are moving right down this top tier. If I’m using someone in the upper tier, Nando de Colo is the most consistent in the upper tier, and put up a whopping 48.25 DraftKings points against Zalgiris in the first meeting.
Sergio Rodriguez has six straight rounds of 20 or more DraftKings points, but he only had 11.25 in the first meeting with Zalgiris. The huge game from de Colo had something to do with that. Despite the good matchup, this could still be a risk. So will Cory Higgins. I think I would rather use Vassilis Spanoulis and his four games of over 30 in the last six.
Mike James had a huge game against Tel Aviv last round, and he has a very nice matchup today against Valencia. If he is going to play 31 minutes again, this one is a no-brainer.
The middle tier is overridden with tough matchups. If pressed, Erick Green is one of the more consistent guys to use. Sam Van Rossom is tempting too, but I’m going to stay out of there if at all possible.
With Facundo Campazzo doubtful, that opens the door once again for Jaycee Carroll. The great matchup against Belgrade doesn’t hurt either. Alberto Diaz has been on a roll lately, but I don’t know if that continues against Olympiacos. This is a tough matchup.

Forwards:
Gustavo Ayon is too big of a risk even if he does play for this price. I would avoid the inconsistency of Will Clyburn too. That leaves Chris Singleton, and I am very happy to have him anchoring my frontcourt. This is a good matchup with Valencia too.
Most of the Olympiacos frontcourt is hurt, so Nikola Milutinov reaches must-play status against Unicaja. There is enormous potential here. I like Jamel McLean with Prentezis out as well. That means the top backup will be Ioannis Papapetrou, who put up 27.25 DraftKings points last round.
Beyond that, there are several good mid range options. Trey Thompkins is back to consistent production lately, so if it’s between him and Randolph, go Thompkins. Tibor Pleiss is a nice cash game pick because of his consistency and relative lack of upside.
Fernando San Emeterio didn’t miss a beat after missing two rounds. He turned in his fourth straight round of more than 20 DraftKings points. Othello Hunter was huge last round, and he is going against a Zalgiris team that is without Aaron White. And finally, Joan Sastre is still a great play in this tier.
Rudy Fernandez and Alberto Abalde have been very consistent lately. I like them both for cash games. Fabien Causeur is a little more of a risk, but he also has more upside. Use Causeur in GPP formats.
Dejan Davidovac has 69.5 DraftKings points over the last two rounds. Ride the hot streak while it lasts!
