The FanSided soccer staff make their predictions for the weekend’s Premier League games, including Chelsea vs. Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League returns this weekend following the international break, with the race for the top four taking center stage when Chelsea welcome Tottenham to Stamford Bridge on Sunday for what should be a compelling edition of growing rivalry.

Spurs are currently fourth in the table on 61 points. Chelsea are fifth on 56. Liverpool, who have played a game more than both, are third on 63 points, and have an opportunity to increase that lead when they play Crystal Palace in the early kickoff on Saturday.

If Antonio Conte’s side are going to finish in the Champions League places, they must win against Tottenham, or else hope for a major collapse from one of the sides above them. With a home match against Liverpool still to come as well, they still have a real chance.

Chelsea won the first game between these two sides this season back in August, thanks to two goals by Marcos Alonso. The match was tightly-contested, however, and Spurs probably deserved a draw.

The other highlights of the weekend come at the other end of the table. Newcastle host Huddersfield and West Ham host Southampton in two matches that could have huge implications on the relegation battle.

Elsewhere, Manchester City travel to Everton, who they drew with earlier in the season, knowing a win will allow them to clinch the title against Manchester United next week. United play 14th-place Swansea at Old Trafford on Saturday.
