Los Angeles Chargers – In-N-Out Burger

Confession: I’ve never been to In-N-Out Burger. All my west coast friends tell me that it’s the best burger place around. I disagree because I’ve never been there and I refuse to believe that they have tried every burger from every burger place in the United States.

Confession: I’ve never seen the Los Angeles Chargers play. They’re on the west coast and rarely on television in North Carolina. Maybe they have a primetime game or two, but I have better things to do than watch a Thursday night game between the Chargers and Oakland Raiders. Those How I Met Your Mother re-runs aren’t going to watch themselves.

Maybe when I visit the west coast, I’ll hit up an In-N-Out Burger and see what all the fuss is about, but I’m not traveling cross country for a burger. Just like I’m not putting the Chargers on my television just to see Philip Rivers play, even though I’ve liked him since his days at N.C. State.

Rivers is getting older, the team has never won anything, and they are the same disappointing team every year. At the start of every season, my west coast friends tell me, ā€œThis is the year the Chargers take that next step.ā€ But I never believe them because I refuse to believe that they’ve watched every team play every game.

Who knows, maybe the Chargers will take that next step next year. And maybe In-N-Out Burger is the best burger I’ll ever have. But until I see the Chargers make the playoffs and until I taste an In-N-Out burger, I’m going to be here on the east coast, telling my west coast friends that the Lions will take that next step this year while enjoying my Five Guys.
