Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Burger King

What is Burger King? Do you think Burger King knows what Burger King is?

The name implies that they are the king of burgers. That’s a lofty claim when there are so many burgers challenging for the throne and there’s no full-proof test to prove who the real king of burgers is. People have different tastes, you see.

Burger King’s issue is that they suffer from an identity crisis. The king of burgers should do nothing but burgers. They should spend every waking hour perfecting the burger. Different meet, different cook times, different sauces, different toppings. They should create a whole stable of burgers, all vying to be the king.

Burger King has chicken fries.

They took chicken. They took fries. Chicken fries.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffer from a similar identity crisis. Do they want to be a hard-nosed defensive team? Do they want to be a ground-and-pound rushing attack? Do they want to spread out the offense and give Jameis Winston multiple weapons at his disposal?

I don’t know. Maybe they should try hot dogs.

At least Burger King has a plan. I think. I’m certain the Bucs don’t have a plan. They wanted Jon Gruden, he pretty much turned them down, and then they didn’t want Jon Gruden. They change coaches every two years, showing just how uncertain that are about the direction they want to go in.

It probably doesn’t help that they are in the toughest division in football.

When you call yourself the king of burgers. Just make a good burger.
