National Championship 2018: Michigan fans thank team for a great year

Although it ended in disaster, Michigan fans turned out to thank their team for a remarkable season.

For Michigan Wolverine fans, tonight was a disaster of unmitigated proportions.

The National Championship game began tight, but, all of a sudden, Villanova, the nation’s highest-scoring team, began to rain threes from the Alamodome heavens and forced Michigan into a heady retreat.

It was a sad night, no doubt about it, but no one expected Michigan to even be in the National Championship game, and that, in itself, is an accomplishment of the highest order. So, instead of putting on a sour face, Wolverine fans have turned to Twitter to congratulate their team for a remarkable year.
