The Villanova Wildcats are your 2018 National Champions and we have your requisite One Shining Moment video.

The 2018 National Championship was one to remember. The championship was filled with surprises such Donte DiVincenzo and Villanova dominance that allowed them to capture their second championship in three years. The banner will be hung in Philadelphia again, but this tournament was so much more than just the championship game that came out of it.

Brackets were broken, Cinderella teams made their runs, and the world fell in love with Sister Jean.

The tournament as a whole proved to be one of the best ever. It was filled with upsets, such as Buffalo over Arizona in the round of 64, a Cinderella story in Loyola-Chicago’s miracle run to the Final Four and, of course, the first ever No. 16 seed beating a No. 1 seed.

The magical moments that this tournament continues to produce year after year are why it has become one of the greatest spectacles in all of sports. This video captured what this tournament truly means to the world of basketball and the players who are lucky enough to make it.

The championship game was not a close game by any means. Michigan came to play but was simply overmatched by a better, faster, and overall more talented Villanova Wildcats team.

The name of the night was Donte DiVincenzo who took the game and ran away with it. DiVincenzo came off the bench in the first half and did not look back. He shot a staggering 67 percent from the field and 71 percent on 3-pointers, on his way to 31 points. He cemented himself as a true March Madness legend and one who will be talked about on the campus for years to come.
