The new odds are out, and Duke gets all of the glory, while Villanova gets zero respect.

Villanova hasn’t even had the chance to party with their National Championship on the River Walk without feeling the disrespect from Las Vegas.

As soon as the final car horn sounded on this year’s wacky March Madness, Vegas wasted little time figuring out who would be the team cutting down the nets in Minneapolis next year.

Thanks to a tweet from Jeff Sherman, the new kings of the 2019 National Championship will not be Villanova, but Duke:

While many in Philadelphia are too busy partying right now, when the sun rises over the City of Brotherly love, the disrespect from Sin City will be crystal clear. Villanova will (more than likely) return the same team next season, so you have to give the Wildcats their just due and, at least, say they’re co-favorites to win it all, again, in 2019.

Nevertheless, Duke has an awesome recruiting class coming in, and, depending on if Gary Trent Jr. will come back to Durham for another shot at a National Title, they are rightfully the favorites.

Kansas, who was bombed into submission in the Semi-Final game by Villanova, is right behind the Wildcats, and it would be foolish to say the Jayhawks shouldn’t be favorites. Joh Calipari should have a much more experienced Kentucky team coming back next season, and that talent in Lexington should be primed and ready for a run to the Final Four.

That rounds out the top four, and though it is a tad too-early for odds, it’s right on line with what many in the college basketball universe are thinking.
