Nova Nation will get to enjoy its second championship parade in three years as the Villanova Wildcats defeated the Michigan Wolverines in the National Championship Game.
It’s been a couple months since the Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII, so it’s probably about time for another championship parade in the city.
The Villanova Wildcats put the smackdown on the Michigan Wolverines 79-62 in the National Championship Game on Monday night, and as a result, Nova Nation will get to take to the streets, enjoy the beautiful spring weather and celebrate together en masse.
Of course, there’s some controversy surrounding whether the Wildcats’ parade should be held in downtown Philadelphia, as some argue that Villanova (located about 17 miles outside downtown Philadelphia) is not a Philly school.
But the 60,000 or so people who turned out for the 2016 parade might beg to differ.
The city of Philadelphia has confirmed it will once again host a parade for the victorious Wildcats:
