If there is one team in this draft that is really holding a lot of cards in the first round it is the New York Giants. After a terrible 3-13 season, the Giants locked up the No. 2 pick in the draft, and they are not in desperate need for a quarterback. That could force teams to try and trade up into this pick, especially after the New York Jets made a move to get into the No. 2 spot.

The Giants have picked at No. 2 only once before, and with that pick, they selected legendary defensive player Lawrence Taylor. If they do decide to hang on to this pick, they may decide to bolster the defense once again. One player who makes a lot of sense is Bradley Chubb, who is the most explosive defensive player in this draft class.

Chubb is an elite talent, and would have likely been the top pick in last year’s draft over Myles Garrett. He is a game-changer on the defensive side of the ball, and the Giants need help in the pass rush after getting rid of Jason Pierre-Paul. New York could use this pick on a number of positions, but it is going to be very hard to pass up a talent like Chubb with the second overall pick.
