2018 NFL Mock Draft: Sam Darnold chosen by Browns
By Brad Weiss

player. 53. . Running Back. Penn State. Saquon Barkley. 4
The Cleveland Browns will not only pick at No. 1 later this month, but also three picks after that thanks to the trade they made with the Houston Texans during the 2017 NFL Draft. While they are likely to go quarterback at first overall, look for them to bring in a running back with the fourth pick. This draft class just so happens to have a generational talent at running back, and Saquon Barkley could still be there at No. 4.
Not only is Barkley an incredible runner, but he does so many other things. He is an elite catcher out of the backfield, and showed he can be an electric return man during his time at Penn State. In addition, he showed himself to be a physical freak at the NFL Scouting Combine, locking himself in as a top-5 pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Cleveland is building a nice offense, as they added Jarvis Landry to go along with Josh Gordon in the passing game. Bringing in a player like Barkley makes the offense so much more multi-faceted, and would give whoever is under center a nice security blanket next season. Barkley is going to be an incredible player at the next level, and if they grab him, the Browns could suddenly be a playoff contender next season.
