High Value PG

Shabazz Napier, POR at HOU ($5,300): Napier is coming off a 23.25 fantasy point effort against the Mavericks on Tuesday. The Rockets are 20th against point guards in their last 15 games. Damian Lillard is unlikely to play, which means Napier will draw the start in his place. He’s averaging 33.9 fantasy points in eight starts this season, although was down to 14.25 fantasy points in his last start. He’ll at least give you value and there’s a chance at a big game. ***

Tyus Jones, MIN at DEN ($5,000): Jones picked up the start on Sunday against the Jazz, posting 29.5 fantasy points in that game. Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose are both listed as questionable. If they’re unable to play, Jones will see big minutes once again. If Teague plays, Jones is a bit of a risk because Tom Thibodeau doesn’t have guaranteed big minutes for his bench. But if Rose plays, Jones is a solid bet because Rose isn’t very good. Although maybe you take a risk on him with his offense. ***

Jose Calderon, CLE vs WAS ($4,100): George Hill’s status is unknown at the moment. If he plays, he seems like a solid bet against the Wizards. As for Calderon, he picked up the start against the Raptors, finishing with 37 fantasy points. He’s not a great option because it’s still a LeBron James dominated team and Calderon has proven to be inconsistent this season, but maybe you take the risk if he draws the start. **
