FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 5, 2018
High Salary SG
James Harden, HOU vs POR ($11,000): The Rockets are caught between “rest and rhythm” right now. They’re trying to get their top guys playing time to get into rhythm, while giving other guys a rest. Assuming Harden and Chris Paul play, things should be just fine in Houston. He had 66.5 fantasy points against the Wizards on Tuesday. He remains a stronger option than Paul and should be over 50 fantasy points in this one. But check on the status of him and other Houston players prior to the game. *****
Khris Middleton, MIL vs BKN ($8,000): The Nets are first against shooting guards in their last 15 games, but Middleton is more of a small forward at this point. They are 13th against small forwards during that same stretch. Middleton bounced back from his 31.3 fantasy point performance against the Nuggets with 49.1 fantasy points against the Celtics. He’s been a consistent play for a month now and there is no reason to doubt him given Brooklyn’s defense. ****
CJ McCollum, POR at HOU ($7,200): McCollum was right at value on Tuesday against the Mavericks, finishing with 32.8 fantasy points. With Damian Lillard unlikely to play, McCollum will be the lead the charge for Portland. The Rockets can be a stout defensive team, but who knows where their mindset is with nothing to play for. Typically, it leads to rusty defense as guys can’t be bothered to rotate as crisp. With Lillard out, McCollum will get you at least 30 fantasy points and likely push 40 fantasy points. ****
