Los Angeles Rams full 2018 NFL mock draft

The Los Angeles Rams made several big splashes already this offseason via trade and in free agency. Here is their latest 2018 NFL mock draft.

There may not be a team in the NFL that made more high-profile splashes in free agency than the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are coming off their best season in over a decade, as Los Angeles won the NFC West in 2017. However, Sean McVay, Jared Goff and company didn’t have it in the cards to win a playoff game. So the ample offseason additions happened.

The Rams traded for talented, but troubled cornerback Marcus Peters from the Kansas City Chiefs. While they saw wide receiver Sammy Watkins end up with Kansas City in free agency, the Rams were able to added defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who was released by the Miami Dolphins. Let’s not forget that incredible cornerback Aqib Talib is all for a Wade Phillips reunion now down in Southern California.

Overall, the Rams have to be in the mix to contend for Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta out of the NFC. Los Angeles is the top dog in the division and should challenge teams like the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles for the best record in the conference.

Los Angeles has a few needs to address in the NFL Draft. Primary needs are out on the edge, at offensive tackle and at wide receiver. Secondary needs are at linebacker, guard and at center. The Rams could also use a cornerback and a safety in this draft. Here is the latest 2018 NFL mock draft for the Rams.

First Round

Let’s just say that the Rams aren’t able to swing another high-profile move this offseason, like say, trading for Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. Well, the Rams did lose Watkins to the Chiefs in free agency, so they do have a need at receiver. Maybe they use their No. 23 overall pick on a riser up many teams’ boards in D.J. Moore of the Maryland Terrapins?

Moore is 6-feet, 210 pounds. He has 31 5/8 inch arms and 9 5/8 inch hands. He ran a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Moore was able to put up 15 reps at 225 on the bench press. He posted a 39.5 in the vertical jump and a 132 in the broad jump.

In three years at College Park, Moore had 146 receptions for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdown grabs. Moore’s best season obviously came in his junior year for Maryland, where he had 80 catches for 1,033 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games for the Terrapins.

Moore is projected to be at worst a day two selection in the draft. While this is a weaker wide receiver draft than most, the Rams have the luxury of using their first-round pick on a luxury item here at No. 23. Frankly, the Rams might end up trading this pick, but Moore could end up being their guy at the end of the round one.
