Long time fans will get to be enchanted by its platformer goodness all over again. Just look at the graphical enhancement in the trailer above, it’s stunning. The former PlayStation 1 exclusives saw release back in 1998, 1999, and 2000 respectively, collectively selling over 8,000,000 copies. Insomniac Games would later leave the series to work on the now world famous Ratchet & Clank series.
The Game Boy Advance’s Spyro: Season of Ice would be the first to release on a non-PlayStation console and without development by Insomniac Games. The series would later see multi-platform sequels throughout the years but the golden age would always be the original trilogy. Spyro the Dragon’s PlayStation 1 trilogy is looked back on with the fondness of one of gaming’s greatest eras.
