John Cena may not get his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34, but here are five other things he could do once Sunday night rolls around.

John Cena is usually in the midst of a huge feud heading into WrestleMania year in and year out, but 2018 represents a weird Road to WrestleMania 34 for the 16-time WWE Champion. Everyone thought he’d be squaring up against the Undertaker on Sunday night, but now no one knows what’s coming for the leader of the Cenation.

Cena could still technically have an unadvertised match or confrontation with the Undertaker, whether it’s the Dead Man or the American Badass, on Sunday. However, everyone should plan as if nothing will happen at this point in the week. With nothing announced, it’d be tough to imagine WWE writers booking an unadvertised match that people have been waiting for since 2005.

On our end, we’re already wiping away our tears from our multi-week crying session full of teasing and instigating from Cena and we’re preparing for the worst: a world without Undertaker at WrestleMania 34. Luckily for WWE, we’re here to save the day.

With that said, here are five other options for Cena to take advantage of if he’s looking for something to do when WrestleMania 34 kicks off on Sunday night.

5. Sulk like Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 32

Let’s just get the most depressing option right out of the way for discussing Cena’s possibilities for Sunday night. And for a full disclaimer, this is not a dig at Seth Rollins as much as something Cena could possibly be doing on Sunday night.

We all saw the WWE 24 episode following Rollins’ return from his knee injury a few years back, and one of the biggest focuses in the episode was how Rollins was forced to watch WrestleMania high up in a private suite as he waited for his knee to get better. He had worked hard to get back in time for WrestleMania in Dallas, and just missed out on the opportunity for something out of his control. Sound familiar?

Cena has had a similar journey without the injury, working as hard as he can to find something to do when Sunday night rolls around. Whether it was fighting for a spot in the Universal title match, hoping to win the WWE title to defend against AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura or challenging the Undertaker, everything fell through. This could be prime material for his next big match, showing him depressed watching the action in the ring while his hopes for a match against The Undertaker dwindle away.

Unfortunately, this option requires Cena to miss the biggest show of the year completely, which seems impossible for the company’s poster boy. He will be shown at some point, whether he actually watches as a fan and gets a camera pointed at him or whatever option they choose. However, this could be a fun one to build to a future main event down the road.
