Our EuroLeague games this week are unbalanced with only three games today. Most of the good guards went yesterday, so who’s left? Let’s check this out!
The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!
The cash line in the EuroLeague is usually right around 150 DraftKings points. That means we are looking for 3x value instead of the 5-6x we chase in the NBA.

Guards:
The ownership on Luka Doncic is going to be very high today due to the lack of other top options. He finally seems to be fully healthy again, and put in a performance worthy of the first overall pick in a few months last round against Belgrade. The 47,.25 DraftKings points were the highest total for Doncic since December. That had a lot to do with the absence of Facundo Campazzo, so if Campazzo is out again, roll with Doncic. I’m out on Campazzo either way. Achilles injuries can be tricky.
The only other guard I would consider in the five figure price range is Vassilis Spanoulis. Spanoulis has three straight games with more than 30 DraftKings points. That makes him a better per dollar value than Doncic even.
I like both Deandre Kane and Norris Cole with Pierre Jackson out. Kane has more upside, but Cole may be a little more stable as the ballhandler. Still, I cant find fault with using either one against Valencia. If only taking one, I would go with Kane.
Often ignored with an injury is how much it can help the players going against the team dealing with the injury. Erick Green put up 38 against Tel Aviv in the first meeting, his highest DraftKings point total of the season. The emergence of Sam Van Rossom has cut into his action some, but this is still a good situation for both of them. If you are afraid of high ownership on Kane or Cole, these are suitable pivots.
Daniel Hackett has at least 15 DraftKings points in seven of the last eight rounds. With Hickman questionable, Hackett could be in for a big day as a bargain play. Keep an eye on Hickman’s status. As of now, he is “unlikely” to play.
Often, these tournaments are won or lost in the bargain tier. Vangelis Mantzaris has 41.25 DraftKings points over the last two games. He is a very solid play at just $4,400 today. Nikos Zisis is a solid play as well in this tier.

Forwards:
Dorell Wright priced at over $10,000 is a joke. He hasn’t hit 3x value in a month, and only twice this calendar year. He may do it against Real Madrid, but I wouldn’t bet on it with Gustavo Ayon back. Speaking of Ayon, he looks to be mostly healthy now, but Madrid hasn’t pushed him since his return, and likely wont here with the team already playoff bound.
Olympiacos is another team that already has a playoff berth in hand, so don’t expect them to play either Printezis or Milutinov much if at all this round. For that matter, don’t expect to see Kostas Papanikolaou out there either. While it leaves the top tier landscape more barren than usual, it does provide value in the lower tiers.
Fernando San Emeterio is still a risk so long as Valencia is limiting his minutes. I haven’t heard anything so far, but it may not come out until right before tip, which isn’t a big deal since late swap is allowed in Euro League. If you don’t want to play around with this Augustine Rubit has a nice matchup, and is playing solid minutes lately. However, Dejan Musli is putting up almost the same numbers for $800 cheaper.
Another column, another plug for Artsiom Parakhouski. His horrible game against Athens aside, Parakhouski has at least 3x value in eight of the last nine games. However, Alex Tyus is playing more minutes and putting up almost the same numbers. He is a bit safer right now.
If you are going cheap, Leon Radosevic should be on your radar. Radosevic has at least 16 DraftKings points in each of the last four rounds. Three of those have been in the 20’s. The main benefactor of the frontcourt injuries to Olympiacos has been Ioannis Papapetrou. Papapetrou has 44.5 DraftKings points over the last two rounds, and makes a great value play again today.
Stay tuned for our MLB DFS picks for the three major sites, along with DFS plays for the PGA tour and the EPL. Don’t forget about the NBA. We haven’t!
