RAW Women’s Championship Match: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax

Despite all of the talent currently in the Women’s Division of the company, one thing that the writers have largely struggled with is creating compelling narratives to sell matches to the masses. Considering how long the women were pigeon-holed in the company, it stands to reason that writers would need to find their grooves in doing so. Luckily, it seems like they may be hitting their stride to a degree as it pertains to the Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax feud as they are set to face off for the former’s RAW Women’s Championship.

Once close allies, saying that the friendship between Bliss and Jax has eroded is giving erosion way too much credit for the damage that it does. These two have gone from close companions to bitter enemies with Jax getting the face turn as a result of Bliss’ devious and downright dastardly behavior. Bliss can no longer manipulate the woman who’s “not like most girls” and it could mean bad things for her when they are toe-to-toe in the squared circle.

When they do meet in the ring in New Orleans, it seems pretty obvious how things are going to play out. Historically, we’ve seen WrestleMania be the place where superstars who are put in the storyline position that Jax has been put in come out on top and give the heel their comeuppance. Given that and the massive discrepancy in size between the two women, it’s hard to not see Jax emerging from New Orleans as the new RAW Women’s Champion.

Prediction: Nia Jax wins
