The young 2018 season has been filled with excitement, here are the teams that have been the driving force behind this movement.
Who says baseball can’t be exciting? There are some teams early on that will have you glued to your television.
The recent power surge in baseball, no matter if you believe it’s due to “juiced baseball’s,” or just players merely getting stronger, is bringing in a new wave of excitement.
Power pitching, power hitting, it’s all desirable to fans and others alike, even if you don’t like baseball, I bet you still enjoy 450-foot homers, it’s impossible not to.
With that being said, let’s jump into the five teams that are giving this new wave of excitement a considerable jolt.
5. Milwaukee Brewers
Just recently, the Brewers launched back-to-back homers in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie, and then win the game. One of the more enjoyable endings to a game imaginable
With notable offseason acquisitions Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain thriving early on, the Brewers have got off to a solid start.
After the beginning of last season was completely taken over by the power surge of Eric Thames, this years Brewers squad is filled with much more than an occasional home run outburst.
Milwaukee has the perfect mix of speedy gap hitters, and long-ball sluggers in their lineup, an ideal recipe to jolt some excitement into your fan-base.
The Brewers currently sit second in the National League in hits, and first in stolen bases.
They can run, they can hit, they can launch, the Brew crew is a force to be reckoned with in the National League, which will make for a very interesting wild card race.
The main concern with the Brew Crew is how their starting will fare. The staff led by Chase Anderson may not be enough to do major damage in the NL.
A mid-season rotation acquisition may have to be in the plans for Milwaukee. But for the time being, they’ll rely on their versatile, and very exciting offense.
