The Pelicans knocked off the Warriors to give their playoff chances a major shot in the arm, and are on the precipice of qualifying for the playoffs, overcoming a season-ending injury to Demarcus Cousins. They play the Clippers tonight before closing the season against the Spurs on Wednesday, but they just need to win one of those two games and they’re in the playoffs. It can’t be said enough how good Anthony Davis has been playing since Cousins went down, with the All-Star big man making a case for an First Team All-NBA berth. Jrue Holiday has stepped up as well, and the Pelicans can hold their heads high no matter the outcome of the first round for how well they’ve responded to Boogie tearing his Achilles.
