Sacramento entered their first full season with DeMarcus Cousins with the potential of developing some of their young players, and guys like De’Aaron Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Buddy Hield, Skal Labissiere, and Willie Cauley-Stein certainly had plenty of moments to show the upside they all possess. Coach Dave Joerger put in work, and their young players were able to learn valuable lessons over the 82 game lesson. They managed to get assets in return for George Hill, who agreed to a contract in the offseason, and Zach Randolph continued to show that he can get buckets and boards despite his age. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel for the Kings, and another year in the lottery should give them a chance at finally acquiring that piece that’ll turn them into playoff contenders and not just another lottery team.
