5 reasons the Bills must draft a quarterback
With two first round picks, the Buffalo Bills are in prime position to trade up for a quarterback this year should they want to, and they have to do this.
After trading Tyrod Taylor and signing AJ McCarron, the Bills quarterback room will look different next year. However, they shouldn’t be done with making changes to that position on the depth chart. The Bills have to use their first round picks to go get a quarterback this year and here’s why.
5) No bigger need than quarterback
The Bills had a lack of wide receiver talent … so they got Kelvin Benjamin. The Bills traded Ronald Darby, but Tre’davious White was outstanding last year. The Bills have some needs, but none are as big as the quarterback position. While offensive line depth would be appreciated after trading Cordy Glenn and wide receiver depth wouldn’t hurt, none of that matters if the man throwing the ball is awful.
The biggest need the Bills have right now is to finally find the next Jim Kelly. Having two first-round picks puts them in a unique spot to potentially trade up and get a quarterback without surrendering too many other picks. If they are able to hold on to most of their other picks, they can get one of the top four quarterbacks by trading up and still add to their depth in later rounds.
