The Dallas Cowboys were the kings of the NFC two years ago, as they finished the 2016 regular season with the best record of any team in the conference. In 2017, they took a step backward, and a lot of that had to do with the suspension of star running back Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott should be back and ready to go in 2018, and with talent on both sides of the ball, the Cowboys should be a playoff team once again.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Cowboys have the talent to score with any team in the NFL. However, their defense needs some help, especially when it comes to the pass rush. One player they could get this late in round one is Marcus Davenport, who just happened to play his college ball inside the state of Texas at UTSA.

Davenport is as explosive a pass rusher as there is in this draft class, and he could slide up into the top-15 at the end of the month. However, if he is still available at No. 19 he would fill an immediate need for the Cowboys on the defensive side of the ball. He is going to be a sack machine at the next level, and with the defensive backfield playing so well in 2017, this defense could be on another level with Davenport in the fold.
