Designated Survivor continues tonight on ABC as President Tom Kirkman retaliates for an attack that took out six federal agents in the D.C. Metro subway. The episode, aptly titled “Overkill,” airs at 10:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. Central, and you catch it live from your laptop at ABC’s live stream. Dr. Andrea Frost has been sending some keen, subtle romantic signals to President Kirkman recently. Last episode, we said goodbye to FBI Director John Forstell, who was one of the casualties of the attack. Forstell had attempted to patch things up with President Kirkman and was prompted by agent Hannah Wells to be more persistent and try again. Kirkman declined Forstell’s apology because the director believed he was truly doing what was best for the country. Soon after, it was discovered the initial device discovered by Hannah Wells and other federal agents was actually a decoy. It was too late to stop the real one from detonating, but civilian casualties were spared, reducing widespread panic.

President Kirkman gave a statement that the D.C. metro station would remain closed for the foreseeable future. It was then asserted that East Hanchu itself was utilized as a decoy by Kunami who was looking to profit. President Kirkman wanted swift and immediate justice against Kunami, launching a retaliatory operation.

No getting bogged down in diplomatic discussions for President Kirkman this time around. Tom has had enough between his wife’s death, Moss’ leaks, and now an attack under his watch. He declined any coalitions setups or talks with allies. Kirkman declared if  “he waits knowing what he knows, he’s not worthy for his office.”
