Harry Potter’s 20th anniversary is celebrated in a new TV special. Here’s how to watch Harry Potter: A History of Magic live, on TV and online.

Harry Potter is having a 20th anniversary party on The CW, so we’re telling you how to watch Harry Potter: A History of Magic online and watch Harry Potter: A History of Magic live so you don’t miss out on this TV special.

A History of Magic is celebrating the release of J.K. Rowling’s first Potter novel two decades ago (yep, it’s really been that long). The hour and a half-long special is produced by the British Library and shows U.S. audiences the library’s exhibition of materials from the private archive of J.K. Rowling. You’ll get to see pieces of Potter history that you’ve never seen before and learn more about the creation of the book that would launch an international phenomenon.

It also enlists a number of actors from the movies to read select excerpts from the first book, complete with illustrations. If you’re a fan of the franchise, a fan of books or just want to see something magical, you’ll want to check out this brand-new special.

Here’s how The CW officially describes the special:

"Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter book along with the British Library as they host an exhibition of the real-life magical history behind J.K. Rowling’s beloved classics.Go behind the scenes of this mesmerizing show with exclusive access to a priceless collection of artifacts and other items on display as J.K. Rowling opens her private archive to reveal drawings and drafts that have been hidden away for years.Her magical writing is brought to life with readings from actors from the “Harry Potter” films (David Thewlis, Evanna Lynch, Warwick Davies, Miriam Margoyles and Mark Williams) while illustrator Jim Kay illuminates Rowling’s imaginary world. The special is narrated by Imelda Staunton (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”)."
