Wednesday’s episode is called “Fight or Flight,” and that’s because there are only those two options left after Naomi (Dominique Tipper) betrayed the crew of the Rocinante at the end of last season. How will they survive now, after war has broken out between Mars and Earth? It’s a grim start to The Expanse season 3, or at least more grim than usual.
There’s one idea for how to get out of this predicament, and that’s to run for the proverbial hills, which is what Bobbie (Frankie Adams) and Avasarala (Shohreh Agdashloo) are advocating. But naturally, no plan for escape is without its risks, especially in the middle of intergalactic war. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the season be kicked off with a character death. Thanks, Naomi!
