As the 14 lottery teams prepare for the offseason and the other 16 enter the playoffs, the draft combine is in full sight in the latest edition of our 2018 NBA mock draft.

The order for this mock draft is based upon the final standings, and my own personal guesses for Friday’s lottery position coin flips. For each pick, team needs are taken into consideration, as well as fit.

G. IMG Academy. Anfernee Simons. 30. player. 125.

This season, the development of Taurean Prince’s jump shot became one of the more promising signs of progress for the rebuilding Hawks. Prince was able to up his volume near six attempts per game while maintaining efficiency. The second-year wing made nearly 39 percent of his 3s, a remarkable number considering the fact that he was a below average shooter during his rookie season.

Simons would be another shooter as the Hawks focus on floor spacing for John Collins and Dennis Schroeder. The fifth-year high-schooler averaged 21.6 points per game at IMG Academy this season, according to PrepCircuit.com.

And if Schroeder is not the final answer for the team at point guard, Simons can slide in there if his passing and finishing develop.
