The Last Great Colosseum beckons, and NASCAR fans know that’s always a race weekend worth checking out. Bristol Motor Speedway is set to play host to NASCAR’s top two series, with the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 on Saturday and the Food City 500 on Sunday.

The XFINITY Series race should carry more than its fair share of intrigue as no Cup Series drivers will be in the field. That’s because it’s the first Dash 4 Cash race of the year, with the top four series regulars at Texas competing for an extra $100,000 at Bristol. Keep your eye on Christopher Bell, Daniel Hemric, Cole Custer and Ryan Preece, as whoever finishes highest among them will win the dough and lock themselves in for Dash 4 Cash eligibility at Richmond.

No such gimmick is at play in the Cup Series race, but it doesn’t really need one as the racing itself is always the main attraction. It could be a chance for someone new to make a mark at the half-mile track, as defending race winner Jimmie Johnson still hasn’t quite gotten back to being himself, and the winners of the 2014-2016 races (Carl Edwards twice and Matt Kenseth) are retired.
