The Raptors being their question for playoff redemption with a first-round series against the Wizards. Here’s everything you need to know to watch Game 1.

The Toronto Raptors — not the Boston Celtics, not the Cleveland Cavaliers — finished the regular season with the best record in the Eastern Conference. It was, by far, their best season in franchise history and they did by keeping mostly the same personnel and playing a drastically different style. Favoring movement and outside shooting, instead of just the individual scoring brilliance of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry, helped make them more efficient.

The Raptors also featured one of the best benches in the league and were often able to extend leads when their starters went to the bench. Rotations typically shorten in the playoffs but the Raptors may continue to lean on that depth, particularly in this first-round matchup with the Wizards.

Depth has been, and continues to be, an issue for Washington. However, the team surged at the beginning of John Wall’s injury-related absence and Tomas Satoransky emerged as another key player off the bench. With Wall back and healthy, they have to feel good about their chances of finally putting the pieces together and breaking through.

Toronto has often struggled in Game 1s and is already talking about how important this one will be. Here’s all the information you need to watch this game.
