The Cavs lost Game 1 to the Pacers when nothing seemed to go right, but it’s a long series and LeBron’s team is going to be just fine.

I can already see it now. The talking head shows Monday morning is going to have a field day with the outcome of Game 1 of the Cavs-Pacers series. The Pacers won 98-80 to hand LeBron James his first loss in 21 games in the first round and now the hot takes are going to be flying.

Did the Cavs lose this or did the Pacers win it?

Should Cavs fans panic now?

Is this the beginning of the end for LeBron?

LeBron’s exit from Cleveland will be easier after first round loss.

To all of those hot takes, I say, chill the heck out for a minute. It was one game. It was one game that started very poorly and the Cavs couldn’t dig themselves out from a 19-point first-quarter deficit.

The Pacers clearly came to play, especially Victor Oladipo who was the best player on the court despite LeBron recording a triple-double.

It’s true the supporting cast for LeBron is not the best he’s had, but to think LeBron is going to go down without putting up a fight is ridiculous.

The Pacers are a good team but let’s slow down before counting out the Cavs or hitting the panic alarm.

LeBron needs to turn the switch on for “Playoff LeBron” and when he does, he’s fully capable of beating the Pacers by himself.

If you’re ready to jump off the Cavs bandwagon because of one game, then make sure you don’t hop back on when they inevitably win this series in six games.

The Cavs are going to be fine and Twitter was full of others sharing this opinion.

I wouldn’t say the Cavs should panic. If anything, they realized they can’t take the Pacers lightly and have to adjust their mental game. Once they do that, their physical game will follow and they won’t be chasing 20 points after the opening stanza.
