Canadian karma is just as savage as karma elsewhere in the world, as the Toronto Blue Jays found out the hard way.

The Toronto Blue Jays Roger Centre is currently trying to deal with snow coming into the stadium as a piece of ice from the nearby CN Tower fell onto the roof.

The hilarious part of this news is that the Blue Jays twitter account tweeted a few hours before saying how the weather wouldn’t stop them from playing today (because they plan indoors.)

Well, that tweet didn’t age well, and it was actually deleted shortly after their roof was pierced by ice from the CN Tower.

I wonder if this is how the people who made the Titanic feel? Toronto’s game against the Royals is clearly in question as the Blue Jays investigate whether they can actually play today. The unnecessarily smug tweet was a dig at all the other teams who have had to postpone their games Monday as well as this past week.

Mother Nature aside, this is actually the 2nd time Toronto has had to postpone a game at the Rogers Centre due to weather, which coincidently, was also against Kansas City.

The Blue Jays have tarps set in right field to trap the incoming snow and ice, but the police will have to deem the area safe if ice large enough to break the Rogers Centre’s roof is falling from the CN Tower. Water is also reportedly collecting around the infield as well, near where a shortstop would play.

The Blue Jays may have thought their roof would allow them to finally play some games, but it’s looking like the weather may snatch another spring baseball game this season.
