The eight team Euro League playoffs kick off on Tuesday. The four best of five game series winners will meet in the Final Four.
We have a lot less players to choose from with only four teams in action at a time. The value picks are going to be all the more important.
The cash line in the EuroLeague is usually right around 150 DraftKings points. That means we are looking for 3x value instead of the 5-6x we chase in the NBA. It could be even less with less options on the table.

Guards:
Most of the good guards are in action today. That’s going to leave the pickings a little slim in the other round. Now, all of the matchups are pretty difficult here on out. Only Luka Doncic averaged more than 30 DraftKings points against the first round opponent. I’m tempted to fade all of the big four. I’m just not sure we can get value out of any of them.
I’m starting my build around Mike James. He torched Real Madrid in his only game with them this season. Athens is a better team with James in there. His minutes are in the mid 20’s to low 30’s. Cory Higgins and Sergio Rodriguez are worth a look as well. Higgins has outplayed de Colo and Sergio lately, so I would go with him if using any CSKA players.
The wild card here could be Sergio Llull. Llull tore his ACL in August, and has been out since. Real Madrid has been pretty quiet about his status, but it is generally expected that Llull will play in some capacity on Tuesday. He carries a healthy amount of risk though.
Charles Jenkins played well down the stretch for Khimki, so he is a solid value play. Leo Westermann is also a solid play if you need a player in the value tier.

Forwards:
Gustavo Ayon looked like he didn’t miss a beat in the last round of the regular season. He put up 35 DraftKings points against Bamberg in round 30. That gives us hope heading into the playoffs that Ayon can still be a force in the playoffs for Real Madrid. Anthony Randolph was also strong up front for Real Madrid in the regular season finale.
Will Clyburn and Chris Singleton both have good matchups, but neither have hit value with any regularity lately. If going with one, it would be Singleton. He has at least been in the 20’s, which is more than we can say for Clyburn.
Tyler Honeycutt should make his return for the playoffs. He did well against CSKA Moscow during the regular season. However, Honeycutt’s return may do nothing more than than reduce the value of Honeycutt and Anthony Gill.
There isn’t much available in the value tier here, but Jeffery Taylor and Rudy Fernandez played well for Real Madrid up front over the last few games. It’s hard to rely on this crowded frontcourt with any kind of certainty, but they are easily the safest value picks at forward. You are better off looking at guard.
