Where can you watch the season 1 finale of Black Lightning online?
In the first season of Black Lightning, the show introduced its audience to a new kind of superhero. Jefferson Pierce was not discovering his powers and learning to use them for good. He already knew what he could do, but had been living without his powers for years. He found other ways of helping his community, particularly as the principal of Garfield High School.
The more commonly seen type of superhero turned out to be his daughter, Anissa. She discovered her own powers on the show by accident and thought she was going crazy until she was able to help someone in trouble.
For the first few episodes of the show, we were led to believe that the real threat to the people of Freeland came from a gang, the 100. That group was responsible for a fair amount of violence, and had put out the drug Greenlight on the streets, destroying the lives of many who became addicted to it.
That seemed serious enough, but the truth was worse.
Turns out the 100 were kind of a cover for the ASA, a branch of government conducting an unauthorized experiment on the people of Freeland. These people killed Jefferson’s father (or had him killed,) are responsible for the deaths and disappearances of many children, and may have been involved in giving Jefferson his powers in the first place.

In the season finale, Jefferson needs to recover from the attack in episode 12. He may be free from suspicion for a bit, because the people at the ASA believe Black Lightning is dead, but I doubt that lasts for long. In the PROMO for the finale, we can see Black Lightning out fighting against the ASA agents, so he must not even be that severely hurt.
