With five games remaining, Tottenham are five points ahead of Chelsea for the final Champions League spot. While seven points will likely be enough for Tottenham, the club can’t afford a late-season slip up that allows Chelsea to catch them. On Tuesday, Spurs travel to Falmer Stadium to face Brighton. The Seagulls are 13th in the table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Brighton lost 3-2 to Crystal Palace on Saturday, and have lost three of their past four games. While the Seagulls have only picked up one point in their last four games, they are closing in on Premier League survival. Offensively, Glenn Murray and Pascal Gross have led the team the entire season. Murray and Gross have combined for 17 goals and eight assists. Jose Izquierdo has caught fire late in the season. The Colombian winger three goals and an assist in his last eight games. Chris Hughton will lean on the trio to generate goals on Tuesday.

Spurs lost 3-1 to Manchester City on Saturday, allowing the Citizens to clinch the Premier League title. Saturday’s loss was Tottenham’s first since Dec. 16. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have had a strong second half of the season thanks to Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Kane is second in the Premier League with 25 goals this season. Eriksen has driven play in midfield for Spurs, scoring 10 goals and adding nine assists. Defensively, Davinson Sanchez has supplanted Toby Alderweireld as Pochettino’s first choice center-back next to Jan Vertonghen.
