2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Allen heads to Browns

The 2018 NFL Draft is less than ten days away, and as we inch closer to next Thursday, let us take a look at our latest mock draft.
The Cleveland Browns will pick first in the 2018 NFL Draft, and there has been wide speculation as to who they will select. There are a bunch of really good quarterback prospects in this draft class, and Cleveland could go in a number of different ways when they kick off the draft next Thursday.
Luckily for Browns fans, the team will also pick at No. 4, so they have two chances in the top five to bring in impact players. The Buffalo Bills also pick twice in round one, as do the New England Patriots, who traded away Brandin Cooks for the Los Angeles Rams selection at No. 23.
There are a handful of teams that need to trade up to get a quarterback, as this is a highly regarded class. Will the draft order change over the next week, only time will tell, but let us take a look at what the first round may look like with the order as it currently stands.
Wyoming. Josh Allen. 1. player. 53. . Quarterback
The Cleveland Browns will pick first overall for the second straight year, as they finished with a 0-16 record in 2017. Cleveland has won only one game over their last two seasons, making them the laughingstock of football. However, they have made some solid moves this offseason, and come into next Thursday’s NFL Draft with two of the first four picks in the first round.
With their top pick, the team is likely to grab a signal-caller. There have been rumors that the team will go a different number of routes, but talks are heating up about Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen. While I personally feel Sam Darnold is the most NFL-ready of the bunch, it is hard to ignore the chatter when it comes to Allen to the Browns.
Sure, Allen has all the physical gifts to be a solid quarterback in the NFL, but how proven is he really. He struggled against good competition during his time at Wyoming, but he really had few weapons to throw to. In Cleveland, he would inherit a wide receiver tandem consisting of Jarvis Landry and Josh Gordon, and he certainly has the arm to get them the ball down the field.
