HOUSTON, TX – APRIL 15: Karl-Anthony Towns #32 of the Minnesota Timberwolves shoots the ball against Clint Capela #15 of the Houston Rockets in the first half during Game One of the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs at Toyota Center on April 15, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Timberwolves-Rockets (Rockets Lead 1-0)

Houston likely won’t shoot as poorly from three as they did in Game 1. Only James Harden was contributing from beyond the arc, but it’s not like the Minnesota defense was all that good. Good shooters just missed wide open shots. Harden and Capela are the two most reliable guys, but finding that shooter who bounces back could be key. On paper, Eric Gordon is that guy. But he’s been a disappointment off the bench this season. Trevor Ariza remains my favorite option since he plays with the starters. Chris Paul should play better in game 2, but Harden has been the star of the offense all season.

The Timberwolves will get more out of Karl-Anthony Towns in Game 2. Everyone else, who knows. Jeff Teague is a solid option at his price, but if Tom Thibodeau is insistent on playing Derrick Rose more, Teague becomes less attractive. Andrew Wiggins is at least consistent, even if he’s not spectacular. Jimmy Butler is simply too much of a risk at his salary. And as much as I love Taj Gibson, he’s not a player who is going to make a fantasy impact in this series.

Superlatives

Bounce Back: Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,900)

Houston Role Player: Trevor Ariza ($4,500):

PUNT: Derrick Rose ($3,600)
