2018 NBA Playoffs: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Indiana Pacers Game 2 live stream: Watch online
By Jason Patt
The Cleveland Cavaliers were shockingly pounded in Game 1 by the Indiana Pacers, and now LeBron James and Co. will try to rebound in Game 2 on Wednesday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers had their problems during a chaotic regular season, but it’s safe to say nobody predicted that a LeBron James team would get run off its home floor in Game 1 of a first-round playoff series. That’s exactly what happened Sunday afternoon when the Pacers went into Quicken Loans Arena and earned a 98-80 victory. The ugly defeat ended a streak of 21 straight first-round wins for James.
The Pacers jumped out to a 25-8 lead before LeBron even attempted a field goal. James finished with a triple-double of 24 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, but he wasn’t close to his best, leaving Ty Lue to state that he needs his star to be more aggressive from the jump.
The Cavaliers also need more from Kevin Love. While Love pulled down 17 rebounds, he only took eight shots and finished with nine points. Cleveland’s offense as a whole was out of sorts all game, which ended in a 38.5 percent effort from the field and a putrid 8-of-34 shooting mark on 3-pointers.
As the Cavaliers struggled, Victor Oladipo flourished. The Pacers star continued his breakout season with a monster performance, going for 32 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. He shot 11 of 19 from the field and 6 of 9 from 3-point land as Indiana outscored Cleveland by 21 points in his 37 minutes of action.
With the win, the Pacers have won four of five games against the Cavaliers this season. Lue has already hinted at lineup changes for Game 2 to switch things up, and there are questions about the health status of both George Hill (back) and Kyle Korver (foot, illness).

The Pacers certainly have the Cavaliers’ attention. Cleveland isn’t going to be as terrible on offense again, but Game 1 proved this series will be no cakewalk. The Cavaliers are going to have to lock in and give a more focused effort on both sides of the ball to even up this series.
