Warriors-Spurs (Warriors Lead 2-0)

Maybe the Spurs get a boost from the home crowd. But there’s a human element to this game that can’t be ignored. Sadly, Gregg Popovich lost his wife on Wednesday night. That’s going to weigh heavily on the team. On one hand, they could come out and play hard for their coach and use basketball as a distraction to get away from the reality of the situation. On the other hand, they could be mentally fried and play with little to no energy.

All things equal, even with the home boost, the Warriors are just a better team. There’s too much mystery on the Spurs to feel comfortable with any of their players. Even LaMarcus Aldridge, who was great in Game 2, could always lay an egg. Rudy Gay might be the most reliable option for San Antonio.

Any of the five starters for the Warriors are a pretty safe bet. Draymond Green carries the biggest risk due to his lack of scoring ability and his game not translating to fantasy numbers. But even he is capable of collecting a triple-double and pushing 50 fantasy points. Given the talent available at power forward, there’s better value out there than Green.

Grabbing the right Spurs player could make or break your lineup. If someone like Danny Green gets hot, he could be a big boost to your team. Maybe Kyle Anderson finally has an impact on the series now that the Spurs are back him. He and Dejounte Murray have been non-factors thus far. Trusting either one is a mistake, but you never know.
