How to vote your favorite driver into the NASCAR All-Star Race
By Nick Tylwalk
Actually, your favorite driver probably won’t need your help to get into the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race, but this will help you vote for your second-favorite.
The Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race is coming up on May 19 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and some of the Cup Series drivers won’t be participating unless you help them out with your vote.
Okay, so most of the top stars are already locked into the field. A total of 16 drivers (sorry, Matt Kenseth, we know you’re technically eligible as well) are already good to go, but that leaves more than 20 others who race every week and might not be able to take a shot at a cool $1 million.
Up to three more can advance from the Monster Energy Open, which takes place right before the NASCAR All-Star Race. Everyone else will be hanging on the fan vote, which is now open.
Here’s what you need to do to vote:
- Head to NASCAR.com/fanvote to cast your ballot online.
OR
- Download the NASCAR mobile app for free from the App Store or Google Play and vote right through the app.
You can vote once per day through Friday, May 18 (the night before the NASCAR All-Star Race) at 11:59 p.m. ET. The driver with the most votes who does not get into the race any other way will be declared the Fan Vote winner after the Monster Energy Open and take his place in the field for the main event.
