The New York Jets have now posted back-to-back losing seasons. Can this club get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2010?

In 2015, general manager Mike Maccagnan and head coach Todd Bowles took over the New York Jets. The results were a 10-6 season and a near-miss when it came to the playoffs. But things have gone steadily downhill ever since for any number of reasons. The team is a combined 10-22 since 2016 thanks to a pair of 5-11 campaigns. There has been an enormous overhaul of personnel over the last two offseasons.

But this is 2018 and the club was aggressive not only during free agency but when it came to making move up in the draft. The Jets now on the third spot in the first round in April’s selection process. But are the organization making enough moves so far?

Here is how the complete schedule, week-by-week, lays out:

Week 1: at Detroit Lions (MNF)
Week 2: vs. Miami Dolphins
Week 3: at Cleveland Browns (TNF)
Week 4: at Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 5: vs. Denver Broncos
Week 6: vs. Indianapolis Colts
Week 7: vs. Minnesota Vikings
Week 8: at Chicago Bears
Week 9: at Miami Dolphins
Week 10: vs. Buffalo Bills
Week 11: BYE
Week 12: vs. New England Patriots
Week 13: at Tennessee Titans
Week 14: at Buffalo Bills
Week 15: vs. Houston Texans
Week 16: vs. Green Bay Packers
Week 17: at New England Patriots

The organization has made some solid moves with the signings of cornerback Trumaine Johnson and inside linebacker Avery Williamson. Offensively, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is joined by running backs Isaiah Crowell and Thomas Rawls.

And let’s keep in mind one very startling fact. The New York Jets have not used a first-round pick on any offensive player since drafting quarterback Mark Sanchez with the fifth overall selection way back in 2009.
