The Boston Celtics took care of business on their home floor, and they will try to push the Milwaukee Bucks to the brink in Game 3 on Friday.

The Boston Celtics may be missing a host of key players, but you wouldn’t know it based on their performances in Games 1 and 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks. After a thrilling Game 1 overtime win, the Celtics dominated the Bucks in Game 2 behind the young backcourt of Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier.

Brown became the youngest Celtic ever to score 30 points in a playoff game in the 120-106 win. The 21-year-old went off for 30 points on 12-of-22 shooting and was a plus-17 in 33 minutes. Boston has outscored Milwaukee by 35 points in Brown’s 79 minutes on the floor in this series.

Rozier went for 23 points and eight assists while making eight of his 14 shot attempts. Rozier was a plus-19 and significantly outplayed his counterpart in Eric Bledsoe for the second straight game, although apparently Bledsoe is missing out on these occurrences as he feigns ignorance of Rozier’s existence.

The Bucks need Bledsoe to figure things out to help out Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. Antetokounmpo and Middleton were terrific in both Games 1 and 2, and they even combined to shoot a scorching 23 of 31 from the field in Game 2. It just wasn’t nearly enough because they’ve gotten little help and Milwaukee’s defense has been roasted.

Another player to watch for the Bucks is Jabari Parker, who has been an unmitigated disaster in the playoffs thus far. The former No. 2 pick has managed just two points and is a minus-29 in 25 minutes this postseason. The Celtics make it a point to attack is defense, which renders him especially useless if he’s not scoring. Milwaukee needs to get something out of him, or just not play him at all.

The Celtics have firm control of this series, but the Bucks aren’t completely out of this yet. Milwaukee has the talent to get back in it, but the team needs to play smarter and the stars need more help.
